Overview of the Organization, Mission, and Vision

The Carsyn Neille Foundation (CNF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of families affected by childhood cancer. We focus on creating sustainable, non-toxic, and healing spaces for children, which significantly contribute to their physical and emotional well-being. Founded in 2016 after the loss of my daughter, Carsyn, to brain cancer, our mission is to empower families through holistic wellness solutions, including the transformation of their living environments.

Key Accomplishments to Date:

  • 634 Comfort Kits delivered to families across the U.S.

  • 43 Rooms to Thrive transformations, providing children battling cancer with safe, nurturing environments.

  • Raised over $300K towards supporting childhood cancer families.

  • Impacted 2,500+ families nationwide with educational programs, advocacy, and wellness services.

  • Partnered with hospitals and community organizations to provide continuous support and resources.

Importance of CNF’s Work and Expansion Goals


As we continue to grow, CNF’s work remains vital to improving the quality of life for families affected by pediatric cancer. We are expanding our reach in Oklahoma and other key regions, and our long-term goal is to provide sustainable solutions that will positively impact the health and wellness of these families for years to come. Our vision includes the creation of Carsyn’s Retreat Centers, providing a space for rest, healing, and education for these families.

  • We are seeking diverse, passionate, and skilled individuals to serve 2-year terms on our Executive Board. Whether you’re an experienced professional or new to board service, we welcome you!

    Ideal Candidates:

    • People with financial expertise, including accounting, business tax experience, or CPAs.

    • Marketing and communications professionals.

    • Individuals experienced in fundraising and grant writing.

    • Influencers with major community, organizational, or social media influence.

    • Experienced mentors who can guide the next generation.

    • Individuals with nonprofit or education curriculum experience.

    • Professionals in banking, law, or corporate social responsibility (CSR).

    We Value Diversity:

    We seek members from various ages, genders, races, and professional backgrounds to reflect the communities we serve.

  • Board membership is a rewarding experience that requires a commitment of 4-5 hours per month. Responsibilities include:

    • Attending monthly board meetings.

    • Supporting CNF financially.

    • Serving as a liaison or planning one Teen Board meeting annually, including booking speakers, organizing catering, and securing a venue.

    • Nurturing relationships with at least two community partners to secure sponsorships or support for CNF initiatives.

    • Supporting fundraising events like the Pickleball Block Party or Giving Tuesday campaigns.

    • Advocating for CNF’s mission within your personal and professional networks.

  • We’re looking for individuals with skills in:

    • Accounting and Financial Management

    • Professional Development

    • Market Research and Analysis

    • Community Outreach and Engagement

    • Volunteer Coordination

    • Fundraising and Grant Writing

    • Marketing and Communications

  • To join our board, you must:

    • Be at least 21 years old.

    • Pass a background check.

    • Commit to 4-5 hours per month.

    • Complete an orientation or training.
