Meet Sam

Hi, I’m Samantha Hart, and I’m a student at Deer Creek High School! I serve on the Carsyn Neille Foundation’s Marketing & PR and Project Management Committees. My biggest inspiration for the work I do is my best friend, Parker Spurgeon, who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 T-cell lymphoma leukemia. Watching him fight this battle has fueled my passion for making a difference. Through this campaign, I’m working to raise funds for Comfort Kits to support children facing pediatric cancer. My goal is to help make a tangible impact and remind these kids they aren’t alone. Every donation counts and will help us bring hope and support to families in need.

Donate a Comfort Kit

Comfort Kits are not just about the physical items; they symbolize our unwavering support. They remind children and their families that they are seen, supported, and never alone in their fight. In Oklahoma, around 140 children are diagnosed with cancer each year, and our goal is to provide Comfort Kits to 1,200 children annually, nationwide. Every $50 donation funds one Comfort Kit, delivering comfort and hope at a time when it’s needed most.

Why Comfort Kits are Critical

Providing Comfort, Care, and Hope to Children Battling Cancer

Comfort Kits consist of essential items specifically curated for children affected by childhood cancer, helping to reduce their exposure to harmful chemicals in the environments where they spend most of their time. These kits are provided quarterly, featuring a Rooms to Thrive™ must-have item to ensure their living spaces are safer and healthier. Occasionally, depending on funding and vendor or company donations, we also include additional comforting items like blankets, toys, books, and personal care products to bring joy and support during treatment.

  • My Personal Goal:

I’m working hard to fundraise enough to provide 50 Comfort Kits this year. Each kit costs $50 and will go directly to children undergoing cancer treatment at OU Children’s Hospital and other pediatric facilities. Reaching this goal would mean serving 50 children and their families. Your donation or ticket purchase helps us bring joy and comfort to families during their hardest times.

  • I’ve been a member of the Carsyn Neille Foundation Teen Board for 1 year and have always been passionate about helping children and families impacted by cancer. My work with the foundation has opened my eyes to the challenges these families face, and I’m committed to doing everything I can to support them through the Comfort Kits program. I believe in the power of community and know that, together, we can make a difference!

  • There are two ways you can support my campaign:

    1. Sponsor a Comfort Kit – A $50 donation sponsors one kit, bringing comfort to a child and their family.

    2. Purchase a Pickleball Duo Pass – For $100, you and a partner can join the pickleball tournament and support this cause. It’s a fun and competitive way to get involved while making an impact.

Your support will directly help children and families who are going through some of the toughest times in their lives. Together, we can make a difference!

Attend the Pickleball Tournament

Purchase a Pickleball Duo Pass and Compete for a Cause

In addition to fundraising, I’m also working to get teams to attend and compete in our Pickleball Tournament. For $30, you and a partner can enjoy a fun evening of pickleball while supporting our mission. It’s a great way to have fun, show your support, and make a real difference in the lives of children. All proceeds from the event go directly toward funding Comfort Kits. Whether you’re a casual player or a serious competitor, this tournament is for everyone!
