Expanding Horizons: Embracing a New Year, a Grand Vision, and Teen Board Triumphs
Welcome to the Spring 2024 edition of the Carsyn Neille Foundation (CNF) newsletter! As we embark on a new season filled with hope, inspiration, and determination, we're thrilled to share our exciting plans and vision for the year ahead.
Last December, I received the MaxLove Project New Year, New Hope Newsletter, in which Audra, the Founder and CEO of the MaxLove Project, mentioned the challenges faced in 2023 and the creative ways they've pivoted to accommodate the new fundraising landscape. She says, “2023 has been a tough year for us; philanthropy has declined sharply and a reduction in donations forced changes to our offerings. We’re hoping that the conditions in 2024 will improve. That said, we’ve found creative ways to pivot and change what we do to accommodate the new fundraising landscape. Post-pandemic we’re learning to walk again, now on completely new terrain. Regardless, we’re not giving up — cancer doesn’t slow down and neither will we!” It was a moment of solidarity, reminding us that we're not alone in facing difficulties and that adaptation is key.
As we embark on the journey of a new year, I am thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside each of you in our mission to support childhood cancer families and uplift our local communities. This past year, we have prayed, acted intentionally, and remained steadfast in following the path laid out for us this past quarter. Join me as we reflect on the strides we've made and the bold plans we have in store for the months ahead.
Foundational Faith: A Season of Prayer
As founder of CNF, I've embraced a season of prayer and discernment, seeking divine guidance in every decision we make. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 16:3 that if we commit our plans to the Lord, they will succeed. With this steadfast faith, we move forward, trusting in His wisdom and timing.
In 2024, CNF is embracing a bold and ambitious vision to broaden its impact and reach within the childhood cancer community. With a renewed focus on holistic support and innovative programs, we're committed to making a tangible difference in the lives of families facing the challenges of childhood cancer.
This year, we've made significant strides in strengthening our foundation. From establishing a new executive board to refining our processes and gaining insights into the interior design industry at events like Design Camp by Anastasia Casey and High Point Market, we're laying the groundwork for impactful change.
Calling All Design Community and Corporate Sponsors:
We're seeking the support of the interior design community and corporate sponsors to bring our grand vision to life. Whether through in-kind donations, sponsorships, or partnerships, your support can help us positively impact the lives of those affected by childhood cancer.
Meet Our Teen Board: Empowering Youth, Building Futures
This year, we launched our Teen Board, a dynamic group of young leaders passionate about making a difference. Our dynamic Teen Board continues to lead the charge in driving positive change and impact. From organizing fundraising events to spearheading community outreach initiatives, our teens are a testament to the power of youth empowerment and advocacy. Stay tuned for social media introductions as we showcase their enthusiasm and vision for the CNF brand. Stay tuned for updates on our upcoming Teen-hosted Pickleball tournament on November 10th!
Comfort Kit Initiative: Spreading Love and Hope
Our Comfort Kit Initiative continues to touch the lives of families affected by childhood cancer. With a fundraising and disbursement goal in sight, we're on a mission to provide essential items and emotional support to those in need. Together, we're spreading love and hope in the face of adversity.
A BIG Vision!
Stay tuned for exciting updates on our newest initiative, our big God-given vision that brings all the work we've done, all the lessons we've learned, and all the connections we're making together. This new vision aims to undoubtedly broaden our impact and provide a haven of healing and support for childhood cancer families. With an extensive and bold vision in mind, we're working tirelessly to make this dream a reality.
CNF: More Than a Nonprofit, It's a Ministry
At CNF, our work extends beyond the realm of nonprofit organizations; it's a ministry rooted in faith and compassion. Just as Ephesians 2:10 reminds us, God created us to do good works, which He prepared in advance for us to accomplish. With this divine purpose as our guiding light, we press on, impacting lives and building futures.
As we navigate the road ahead, let us walk in faith, unity, and purpose, knowing that we can accomplish great things together. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your unwavering support and commitment to our cause. Together, we can make a difference and bring hope to those who need it most.
Healing + Thriving together,
